Terms of Application

Confirmation of eligibility

The firm applying for SIFA Professional membership has confirmed that they are not contractually obliged to use certain product providers and therefore offers only impartial financial advice and that the information it will provide as to qualifications and accreditations for inclusion in the SIFA Directory are currently valid.

Data protection

By providing contact data to SIFA Professional the applicant firm consents to being contacted by SIFA Professional and to SIFA Limited holding and retaining such data for a reasonable period of time and using such data for the administration of its services, conducting research and analysis and for legal and regulatory purposes sharing such data with other members of SimplyBiz and its business partners.


SIFA Professional will use its best endeavours to ensure the accuracy of information and advice provided to firms subscribing to its services and cannot be held responsible for the consequences of firms relying on such information and advice except in the case of gross negligence. Firms must decide for themselves whether to rely on such information and advice. In any event, any liability will be limited to a sum equivalent to the amount paid in membership fees over the previous 12 months.


SIFA Professional will keep confidential and will not disclose to any person outside SimplyBiz any information obtained in the course of providing its contracted services, including but not limited to compliance reports and business logs, and whether relating  to clients of firms subscribing to such services or otherwise, except insofar as such information may be required by a Court of law or regulatory authority or may be required by Anti-Money Laundering regulations for the time being in force.

Notice period

SIFA membership is for an initial minimum period of 12 months and is thereafter terminable by providing one month’s notice on or before the start of the month of cancellation.

What happens next?

Following receipt of your application for SIFA Professional membership, we will process your application in accordance with our due diligence procedures. Upon acceptance, we will send you a Membership Agreement, which we request that you sign and return to us, together with the direct debit mandate form. Only once we have received these signed documents back can we complete the application process and commence your membership.
